West Virginia Needs Foster Families.

West Virginia’s foster care rate is nearly four times the national average. Many children in care have experienced neglect, abuse, or instability related to parental substance use. They don’t need a perfect home. They need a present one.

We're With You From Start to Finish

Mission West Virginia serves as your guide, advocate, and resource throughout the entire foster care journey. We’re here for the first conversation and every step that follows. Licensed agencies across the state handle the formal certification process and child placement, and we’ll help you find the right one for your family.

The Process, Step by Step

1.

Start a Conversation

Reach out to our Foster Care Coordinator with whatever questions are on your mind. She’ll explain the process clearly and help you determine if fostering or adoption is the right fit for your family. No commitment required.

2.

Find the Right Agency

Foster care in West Virginia is managed through licensed private agencies across the state. We help you find the agency that best fits your family, your county, and the type of fostering you’re considering, then make the connection.
